Valid Travel Documents

Ensure your passports are valid for at least six months from the return date to South Africa, with a minimum of two blank pages for stamping. If traveling to countries requiring inoculation, complete this beforehand and present the inoculation report to border/customs officials. Verify the specific requirements for your destination. Confirm your flights at least 72 hours before each departure, as flight times can change. Check-in for domestic flights is at least 1.5 hours before departure, and 2.5 hours for international flights. Flights to the USA require a minimum of 3 hours for check-in due to document processing. All flights and packages advertised are subject to change without prior notice, availability, and seasonal adjustments. Prices may change due to exchange rates and tax fluctuations, with any additional costs borne by the traveler. My Travel Bestie reserves the right to withdraw or amend any packages/airfares advertised without prior notice. Ensure you have travel insurance and understand the associated risks and potential costs.

My Travel Bestie (PTY) LTD ("MTB") is an Online Travel Agent facilitating transactions between you and our preferred Travel Service Providers ("Supplier(s)"). These Suppliers include hotels, airlines, cruise companies, tour operators, rail operators, visa service companies, travel insurance companies, and Foreign Exchange operators. These Terms and Conditions form the entire agreement between you and MTB regarding the purchase of any service we offer.

Booking and Consent

By booking with MTB, you consent to the relevant personal information of yourself and any accompanying travelers being provided to MTB for processing the reservation and transaction. This information will be retained by MTB and their reputable service providers, in accordance with prevailing legislation. Suppliers' Service Terms can be viewed on their respective websites as per the booking form you receive from MTB.

Changes and Availability

Travel-related services are provided by or through one or more Suppliers and are subject to change at any time by MTB without notice. All benefits are subject to availability and may be terminated without notice. MTB is not responsible for any losses related to the offer, fulfilment, or use of goods or services provided by third-party Suppliers.

Flight Specialists

MTB flight specialists assist in booking any available products advertised on the MTB website or social media, and in tailoring flight and hotel combinations or bucket list trips. We aim to negotiate the best deals while maintaining transparency and providing the best rates in South Africa. We offer 24/7 emergency support and plan any type of trip you desire, ensuring you receive the best possible treatment and comfort throughout your travel experience.

Consultant Availability

MTB consultants are available from 08:00 to 18:00 (Monday to Friday) and closed on weekends and public holidays. Email support is available on Saturdays from 09:00 to 13:00. Emergency support is available 24/7.

Fees and Charges

Our best prices are subject to availability and are only valid for 24 hours. Prices can change due to availability, and we are not liable for confirmed flights that sell out before full payment and ticket issuance. Our fees and charges are non-refundable. Changes and cancellations incur additional fees as specified by the airline plus an admin fee of R250.00.

Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds

Refunds must be claimed from the Suppliers, as the money paid to MTB is directly transferred to them. We facilitate the refund process but are not liable for any losses. Requests for refunds, cancellations, or changes to confirmed bookings must be directed to MTB and are subject to the Supplier's refund policy and Service Terms, which may include additional fees. Airlines and Suppliers can take up to 8 weeks, or longer in exceptional cases, to process refunds.

Offer and Acceptance

Any advertising and completion of the booking form are considered an offer to purchase. Your offer is only accepted once your booking is made and payment is confirmed. MTB reserves the right to accept or reject your offer. Ensure you are aware of all Service Terms, available upon request. No refunds will be provided for mistakes related to the details of purchased MTB products.

Travel Risk and Insurance

All activities associated with MTB packages, products, and services are undertaken at your own risk. It is your responsibility to research and understand the risks associated with certain travel destinations, products, and services. MTB does not offer travel insurance but can provide a list of companies that do. Ensure you understand the risks and liabilities involved if you do not obtain travel insurance.

Rates of Exchange

All quoted prices for international flights, packages, and services are subject to exchange rates and may fluctuate. Quotes are valid for 24 hours but may change due to exchange rate fluctuations. Rates are only final upon full payment.

Unscheduled Extensions

In the event of an unscheduled extension caused by factors beyond our control, you will be liable for any related expenses, including accommodation and flights.

Travel Document Requirements

Ensure all necessary travel documents are obtained for yourself and your travel party. Missing documents can result in denied entry and additional costs. MTB is not liable for any consequences resulting from missing or incorrect travel documents.

Child Travel Regulations

From 1 June 2015, specific documentation is required for children traveling, including unabridged birth certificates and consent from both parents or guardians. Ensure all required documentation is in order to avoid travel disruptions.

Product-Specific Terms and Conditions

Specific Terms and Conditions apply to hotels, airlines, and travel packages. These are subject to availability, fare increases, and specific Supplier Terms. Changes and cancellations incur costs, and any taxes quoted may vary due to currency fluctuations.
